Brought Unfinished, Brought Anyway

Not everything needs to be resolved before it's brought to God. Healing doesn't wait for a tidy resolution to arrive first.

“But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings.”

Malachi 4:2

Some conversations end without resolution. Not every misunderstanding gets cleared up in the same sitting it started in — sometimes the exchange simply stops, both sides still holding pieces that don’t quite fit together, and there’s no clean way to tie it off before moving on with the rest of the day.

The instinct afterward is often to keep replaying it — searching for the sentence that would have landed better, the explanation that might have closed the gap, as though enough mental rehearsal could retroactively finish something that’s already over for now.

Malachi’s image is worth carrying into that kind of unfinished moment. The sun of righteousness rises with healing in its wings — not after every loose end has been tied up, but simply because it’s time to rise, over whatever state things happen to be in. Healing doesn’t wait for a tidy resolution to arrive first.

Not everything needs to be resolved before it’s brought to God. Some of it stays genuinely unfinished even after it’s been brought — and that’s still the right time to bring it. The bringing itself matters more than arriving with everything already sorted out.

Prayer

Lord, I bring You what’s still unfinished — the conversation that didn’t resolve, the misunderstanding still sitting unclear. I don’t need it tied up before I bring it to You. Let Your healing rise over it, even in this unfinished state. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Declaration

Not everything needs to be resolved before I bring it to God. Some of it stays unfinished, and that is still the right time to bring it.
