About Eric Cooper

Eric Cooper has spent forty years in prophetic ministry, and everything written on this site comes out of that stretch of years, not a single moment of inspiration but a long obedience across real seasons, real setbacks, and real restoration.

He is the author of several books, including The Joseph Anointing: Living Above the Sun, I Am Mad at Hell, I’m Not Taking It Anymore, Restoration Journey, and Set Your Mind on Things Above the Sun, among others. His writing returns again and again to a single conviction: that what looks like a pit, a delay, or a wilderness season is rarely the end of the story God is telling.

That conviction has a name. Eric calls it SHALAM, the Hebrew idea of completion, restoration, and covenant fulfillment, and it shapes every devotional, every teaching, and every book he writes. Above the Sun isn’t a brand built around a single verse or a single season of life. It’s a way of reading Scripture, and a way of reading your own story, that trusts God to complete what He starts.

Eric also leads a School of the Prophets, training a new generation of prophetic voices in discernment, character, and biblical grounding, and founded the Above the Sun Consultant Group, carrying that same conviction into practical, everyday work.

This site exists to make that forty years of ministry accessible daily, not just in a book on a shelf. Every devotional here is written the same way his books are: rooted in Scripture, honest about the hard seasons, and confident that the pit is never the end of the sentence.
