Day 2: Dreamer — The Revelation That Marks You
“Now Joseph had a dream…”
— Genesis 37:5
Every great move of God starts with a dream.
Not a fantasy. Not a wish.
But a divine revelation — whispered into the heart of a son or daughter who dares to believe for more.
Joseph didn’t ask for the dream. It was given to him. It came from above, not beneath. And it didn’t just speak of his future — it spoke of a legacy that would affect generations.
That’s the weight of a prophetic dream:
It doesn’t just reveal your calling. It reveals your cost.
The Dream Marks You Before It Promotes You
Joseph’s life didn’t get easier after his dream—it got harder.
Why?
Because dreams from God are dangerous to darkness.
They stir jealousy.
They provoke warfare.
They awaken destiny.
That dream on your life, the one you haven’t fully seen yet? It’s not a mistake. It’s not a myth. It’s a mark. Heaven knows it. Hell hates it. But God is faithful to bring it to pass.
“Write the vision and make it plain on tablets… For the vision is yet for an appointed time… Though it lingers, wait for it; it will surely come…”
— Habakkuk 2:2–3
Why So Many Dreamers Give Up
The enemy can’t destroy your dream, so he tries to convince you to abandon it.
He whispers:
- “You’re too old.”
- “It’s too late.”
- “You missed it.”
- “That wasn’t really God.”
But let me tell you — if Joseph could hold onto a dream through betrayal, slavery, false accusations, and prison, so can you.
Don’t curse the process that’s preparing you for the palace.
You Were Born to Dream Above the Sun
“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit… your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.”
— Acts 2:17
This is your inheritance. This is your Joseph DNA. You were born to dream not just from earth to Heaven—but from Heaven to earth.
That’s what it means to live above the sun.
Your dream is not your idea. It’s your identity.
Declaration
I am a dreamer. I am marked by Heaven.
What God has revealed, He will bring to pass.
No betrayal, pit, lie, or delay can cancel the dream God has spoken over my life.
I am not confused. I am not behind. I am becoming.
In Jesus’ name, I rise again — and I dream again.
Devotional Prayer
Father, thank You for trusting me with vision. Even when I don’t understand it fully, I choose to carry it with faith. Forgive me for the times I’ve doubted or despised the dream. Today, I say yes again. Awaken every dream that has gone dormant. Breathe life into the vision You placed in my heart. I will not quit. I will not let go. You are the Dream-Giver — and You are faithful to finish what You start. In Jesus’ name, amen.
