The Hidden Years Are Not Wasted

Day 3 – When Preparation Looks Like Delay

Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph’s character.”  — Psalm 105:19 (NLT)

What do you do when nothing seems to be happening?

The dream is real.
The promise was clear.
But you find yourself in the middle — waiting, unseen, and unsure of what’s next.

This is where Joseph lived for years. Not days… years.

He had a prophetic destiny. But before the palace, there was prison.
Before rulership, there was refinement.

And it’s here, in the hidden years, that God does His deepest work.

God Hides What He Values

The world may overlook you.
People may forget you.
But Heaven never misplaces destiny.

> You are not being buried.
> You’re being planted.

The hidden season is not punishment — it’s preparation.

This is where roots grow deep.
Where motives are tested.
Where obedience is forged without an audience.

It’s the part of the story no one applauds — but it’s what makes the anointing real.

Delay Does Not Mean Denial

Joseph’s gift was real, but it wasn’t yet ready to carry the weight of national influence.
So God gave him space. Silence. And time.

That silence? It was the training ground for trust.
That time? It was the womb of maturity.

> God was never late.
> He was right on time — forming a man who could steward a nation.

And He’s doing the same in you.

Journal & Reflect

– Where in your life do you feel “in the middle”?
– Are there hidden places God may be using to deepen your character or refine your heart?

Prayer

Father, I confess — I don’t always understand Your timing.
But I choose to trust You in the hidden years.
Forgive me when I’ve called it delay… when You’ve been developing me all along.
Grow my roots deep. Strengthen my spirit.
And prepare me to carry what You’ve entrusted to me.
In Jesus’ name, amen.

Breathe In, Breathe Out: The Spirit and the Power of Forgiveness

“Jesus breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’” (John 20:22)

Breathing requires both inhaling and exhaling. The Spirit-filled life is the same — we inhale His presence, and we exhale His forgiveness.

In a culture quick to divide and slow to forgive, the Spirit is calling us to breathe again.

    Inhale His Spirit.

    Exhale His forgiveness.

    Stay unoffended.

    Live in truth.

The breath of God is not only filling us — it’s freeing us.
