Don’t Lose Sight of Your Destiny…

Don’t Lose Sight of Your Destiny… Or Your Collapse Will Be Awesome

“She did not consider her destiny; therefore her collapse was awesome.”
Lamentations 1:9

Jerusalem lost sight of her calling—her covenant, her identity, her destiny. And what followed was not just a stumble… it was a collapse so profound that the Word called it awesome. Not in the modern sense of wonder, but in the ancient weight of the word: awe-inspiring in its devastation.

This is a holy warning for each of us.

When we stop living from the place of identity and purpose, when we trade destiny for distraction, we risk falling into something we never saw coming. We start tolerating compromise. We forget who we are. And slowly, subtly, we drift from our divine assignment.

And then… collapse. Not just personal failure, but a dismantling of what could have been—what was written in Heaven about us before we were born (Psalm 139:16).

But here’s the hope: Lament doesn’t end in ruins. Lament is the beginning of restoration.

This isn’t just a verse of judgment—it’s a call to return. To remember. To lift your eyes above the rubble and see what still remains in God’s heart for you.

Prophetically, I declare this over you: Your destiny is not behind you—it’s still speaking. The voice of purpose is calling you home. Return to it. Realign your heart with Heaven’s intention, and the Lord will restore what has fallen. You have not been disqualified—you are being reawakened for such a time as this.

Prayer: Lord, awaken the destiny You breathed into us before time began. Remind us who we are in You. Strip away every veil that clouds our purpose. Restore what has been broken, and reignite the flame of holy vision. Today, we choose to align with the scroll You’ve written over our lives. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Breathing requires both inhaling and exhaling. The Spirit-filled life is the same — we inhale His presence, and we exhale His forgiveness.

In a culture quick to divide and slow to forgive, the Spirit is calling us to breathe again.
